The Brief
Our client’s IT infrastructure had been effective for some time, but management recognized the need for upgrades due to increasing maintenance challenges. Added to the network challenge was the need to link three sites together to access the parent company’s database.
Our Approach
Summit began the partnership by performing ongoing maintenance while assessing the network’s overall performance and the company’s future needs. Once Summit’s team was confident we had a solid understanding of our client’s long-term requirements, we proceeded with replacing the main components at each site that were causing daily IT disruptions. This included installing fiber-to-the-premises, a new switch and patch panel, and a new phone system supported by an on-premises firewall. All infrastructure cabling, design and configuration was completed efficiently by the team at Summit Telecommunications.
The Result
The company now enjoys the confidence that their IT team has an in-depth understanding of their new infrastructure and enjoy the benefits of an up-to-date IT system. The upgrade also resulted in cost savings through a more efficient phone system, and the installation of a secure cabinet for their valuable IT equipment.
As a result of this upgrade, the business is well-positioned for a smooth transition with minimal additional work needed during an upcoming upgrade from their parent company, thanks to the strong foundation of their IT infrastructure.
